as to the magic tricks 2 are imminently famous. the first was the floating over swords and then moving into flying around stage. David Copperfield did that one and probably created it. he was the first stage illusionist to 'fly' around the venue. not just float in one spot or just have an assistant levitate somehow. Copperfield actually 'flew' around here and there. but yes, he always started that trick with the 'floating above a bed of swords'. i've personally seen that trick by Copperfield in person at a show when he was a resident magician at one of the hotel-casinos with a periodic show in Las Vegas. i think it was in ... 1996? maybe? it was definitely after Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear on a live, nation-wide, TV broadcast.

anyways, the 2nd even more famous one is the 'water torture trap'. Harry Houdini invented that one... and it almost killed him a few times. the trick is in the manacles and the chain inside the tank. trying to get out of the cuffs and get free from the chain holding you down under water is the first step. then you've got to manipulate the locks and hasps on the 'lid' of the tank to get out... annnd then you've got to appear somehow, somewhere, totally, dry! :> the dry part is the 'kicker trick' that makes the audience wonder if he was even in the tank to begin with. ;) did you notice the magician in this episode is ALSO totally dry but obviously panting after getting out of the water?

also, they're not just mentioning those two previous cases, but they seem to be REPEATING one of them! way to recycle, reduce, and reuse! keep revamping the same 'stuff' over and over again! :>

is it just me or is Vidstreaming server ALWAYS using the crappiest DPI Conan episodes? i've been checking all the servers for the past 10 episodes and the VS ones have edges in the files fluffier than Angora rabbits! check the VS file right here in ep406. even as early as timecode 00:04 you can see ALL the pixelated crap edges on Heiji! every solid black line looks like it was drawn with a ragged felt tipped marker!

Gogo Server is just as bad, but StreamSB has a bit higher quality for this episode.
